Recently , there has been no dearth of various facial modifications using the Faceapp. It’s a new application using an interesting AI technology to give FaceApp. It has been developed by a Russian company called Wireless Lab, allows its user through its fine-tuned AI engine to create their future picture.
Launched in 2017, the app is the brainchild of a former Microsoft and Yandex engineer Yaroslav Goncharov. It has now gotten many great fans now.
How can it show your aged picture?
Using deep generative convolutional neural networks, the FaceApp’s algorithm takes the picture of your face as input and adjusts it on the basis of other imagery. Its neural engine can add the features like hair colours, beards, and swap genders among other transformations of your picture
FaceApp also says when you use their service, FaceApp servers automatically record certain log file information, including:
- Your web request
- Internet Protocol (IP) address
- Browser type
- Referring/exit pages and URLs
- Number of clicks
- How you interact with links on the service
- Domain names
- Landing pages
- Pages viewed, and other such information.
In fact, FaceApp may also collect similar information from emails sent to their users which then help the company track which emails are opened and which links are clicked by the recipients. The Russian company says the information allows for more accurate reporting and improvement of the service in its privacy policy. FaceApp has gotten so many fans that people have been concerned about privacy rights. However based on the situation , people should be a little wary before using this app.
