The class 12 students have appeared for the English Paper in the CBSE board examinations today. What came as a shock was that a 6 marks question was set outside the syllabus. The school recommends one out the two novels to be studied, and the students were forced to answer only one question because they didn’t have the other question in syllabus.

A teacher from DMS Jalandhar also stated that the children of their school were also taught only one novel, and that all other schools also follow that. It is extremely unfair to the students that they lose marks in this rigmarole.

The CBSE board has agreed that it has goofed up, but has also stated that there are no errors on the behalf of the question paper setters. The board has also ensured that the students will not stand at any disadvantage, and the error will be taken care of.
