Tensions always run high at an India Pakistan game. Ever since independence  fierce rivalry has remained between the two dominions and they are constantly at a war with words and sports to show who is the best. The Indian cricket team’s comfortable 89-run victory over Pakistan yesterday at the ongoing cricket World Cup in England earned them lavish praise from Home Minister Amit Shah and other top leaders. “Another strike on Pakistan by team India and the result is the same,” Mr Shah tweeted. Many other ministers as well as the opposition congratulated the Indian teams valiant win, showing how entrenched this game is to everyone’s memory.

India extended their unbeaten World Cup run against Pakistan to seven matches after their victory via DLS method in Manchester.

“Another strike on Pakistan by team India and the result is the same. Congratulations to the entire team for this superb performance. Every Indian is feeling proud and celebrating this impressive win,” the Home Minister tweeted. Even the defence minister as well as the minister of sports congratulated India warmly for their historic win.

“Thank you,” the Congress tweeted, congratulating the Men in Blue for the thumping win.

“Congratulations team India for incomparable victory against Pakistan. You continuously made the country feel proud. Thank you!” a tweet in Hindi from the Congress’ official handle read.” It’s good to see how various politicians of different directives and agendas came together to congratulate our jubilant cricket team. “ Congrats to Indian Cricket Team for a terrific performance and making the country proud. Pakistan lost but they surely made Twitter more entertaining with their self-deprecating humour,” former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti tweeted.With the help of Rohit Sharma’s superb 140 and ViratKohli’s record-breaking innings of 77, India posted a daunting total of 336 for the loss of five wickets from their 50 overs. With the rain trying to play a spoil sport, India kept strong at their side and played rather well, showing no weakness in form or strategy.

India, who have never lost a World Cup game to Pakistan, then produced an excellent effort in the field, with Vijay Shankar, Hardik Pandya and Kuldeep Yadav claiming two wickets apiece to reduce Pakistan to 212 for the loss of six wickets at the end of a rain-affected game. In the end, India won by the DLS method and the result was pretty clear. The Blues were the champions again!

After all the rivalry and the distasteful ads shown by both sides along with witty banter, this cricket match culminated to its peak yesterday and the ministers of the government showed their appreciation and approval for our talented team!
