Okendo vs Yotpo: Which Review Platform?
Okendo suits a Shopify-only brand that wants reviews priced by order band from $19 a month, with loyalty and surveys available as a bundle (Okendo pricing page, 4 October 2026). Yotpo suits a brand selling beyond Shopify, one that wants Google Seller Ratings inside a plan rather than as an add-on, or one that needs retail syndication.
Are you Shopify-only, or do you sell across platforms?
Okendo describes itself as “Exclusively for Shopify” on its own comparison page and calls Yotpo “Generic” (Okendo comparison page, 1 September 2026). Yotpo makes the same point from the other side: its Okendo page lists “Shopify-only” as an Okendo limitation (Yotpo comparison page, 6 September 2026). Okendo’s App Store listing dates from June 2018 and the product has only ever lived on Shopify; Yotpo launched on the App Store in November 2011 and sells across platforms.
If your storefront is Shopify and will stay Shopify, Okendo’s single-platform focus is an advantage: everything in the product assumes Shopify’s data model. If you run a second storefront on another platform, or sell through retailers who display your reviews on their sites, Yotpo’s Premium plan offers “Syndicate across domains” and “Retail syndication” (Yotpo Reviews pricing page, 4 October 2026). Okendo’s comparison page counters that Yotpo caps additional domains at three and requires an annual contract for them, against Okendo’s “Unlimited”. That is Okendo’s claim. We could not find a domain cap on Yotpo’s pricing page, so treat it as a question for Yotpo’s sales team.
The rough rule: one Shopify store, Okendo. Several storefronts or wholesale partners who show your reviews, Yotpo, with the contract terms read closely before you sign.
What do you pay at your order volume, and what is an add-on?
Both vendors price Reviews by monthly orders, and both publish a confusing mix of numbers.
Okendo’s pricing page says “From $19/month” with order bands of 0 to 200, 201 to 1,500, 1,501 to 3,500, 3,501 to 10,000 and 10,001 and above (Okendo pricing page, 4 October 2026). The per-band prices sit behind an interactive selector that did not render for us, so the figures here come from the Shopify App Store listing: Free up to 50 orders a month; Essential $19 a month up to 200 orders; Growth $119 a month up to 1,500 orders; Power $299 a month up to 3,500 orders (Shopify App Store, 4 October 2026).
Yotpo’s Reviews pricing page shows Free up to 50 orders, Starter at $89 a month and Pro at $169 a month, both up to 500 orders (Yotpo Reviews pricing page, 4 October 2026). Its App Store listing shows Starter at $15 a month and Pro at $119 a month with “Pricing changes based on order volume” (Shopify App Store, 4 October 2026). The website appears to render the 500-order band and the App Store the entry band, so a yotpo vs okendo price check only means something at a stated volume. At roughly 1,500 orders a month, Okendo Growth is $119 a month (Shopify App Store, 4 October 2026); Yotpo’s page only prints Starter and Pro at the 500-order band, so what you pay at 1,500 orders is not published.
The add-on question matters more than the headline. Okendo’s pricing table marks Google Shopping, Google Seller Ratings and the Klaviyo integration as “Add-on” for Reviews, and the App Store places “Email & SMS Integrations” on Power at $299 a month (both 4 October 2026). On Yotpo, Google Shopping is on Starter, and Klaviyo plus Seller Ratings are on Pro. For a Klaviyo-first brand, that gating is the single most important line in either table, and it is one Yotpo wins on paper at lower order volumes. Ask Okendo what the Klaviyo add-on costs at your band before you compare totals.
Do you need reviews alone, or reviews bundled with loyalty and surveys?
Okendo sells Reviews, Referrals, Quizzes, Surveys and Loyalty as individual products, and three named bundles: Attract (Reviews, Referrals, Surveys), Convert (Reviews, Quizzes, Surveys) and Retain (Reviews, Loyalty, Surveys), advertised at 30% savings, with the page headline promising “Bundle and save up to 40%” (Okendo pricing page, 4 October 2026). Okendo’s blog puts individual products at $19 a month and Loyalty at $99 a month (Okendo blog, modified 2 September 2026). Bundles and the platform tier are “typically annual”; individual products can be monthly.
Yotpo sells Reviews and Loyalty as separate products with separate pricing pages. Loyalty has a Free tier and a Pro tier starting at $199 a month covering the first 500 orders (Yotpo Loyalty pricing page, 4 October 2026), with VIP tiers held back for Premium on a custom quote. Yotpo no longer sells email or SMS; those products were sunset at the end of 2025 (Yotpo blog, 10 September 2025), so the Yotpo bundle today is Reviews plus Loyalty. Yotpo’s comparison page argues its loyalty earning rules are segmentation-based where Okendo’s are spend-only, and that Okendo’s redeemer-based attribution “can inflate metrics” (Yotpo comparison page, 6 September 2026); ask both about attribution, because it decides whose dashboard you believe.
Yotpo also claims the edge on collection: in-mail review requests against Okendo’s form, and “2 to 3 times industry baseline” collection against Okendo’s 1x. Okendo’s blog answers that CSS review styling and review insights cost $1,000 a month on Yotpo and are included on every Okendo plan (Okendo blog, modified 2 September 2026). None of these are independently verified.
In the accounts we run, [BMO NUMBER: insert the review-request conversion or reviews-per-100-orders figure you measured on Okendo or Yotpo, with account count and window] is what we use to size the collection upside. Either platform works inside a reviews and UGC programme; the pick is about platform scope and what the bundle saves you.
