Judge.me vs Yotpo for Shopify Reviews
Judge.me is the better choice for most Shopify brands: unlimited reviews, photo and video included, at a price that never passes $15 a month (Judge.me pricing page, 4 October 2026). Yotpo earns its higher cost when you need Google Seller Ratings, syndication across domains or retail partners, or a dedicated success team on an enterprise contract.
Do you want a flat price or a plan ladder that scales with orders?
Judge.me sells two plans. Free is $0 and Awesome is $15 a month, and the pricing page puts it bluntly: “$15 per month is the most you can ever pay us” (Judge.me pricing page, 4 October 2026). There are no order bands, no review caps and no overage. A brand doing 300 orders a month and a brand doing 30,000 pay the same.
Yotpo prices Reviews by monthly order volume, and the figure you see depends on where you look. The pricing page shows Free at up to 50 orders a month, Starter at $89 a month and Pro at $169 a month, both capped at 500 orders, with Premium and Enterprise on custom quotes (Yotpo Reviews pricing page, 4 October 2026). The Shopify App Store listing shows Starter at $15 a month and Pro at $119 a month with the note “Pricing changes based on order volume” (Shopify App Store, 4 October 2026). The App Store shows the lowest band and the website renders the 500-order band. A competitor article puts Starter at $59 a month for 0 to 200 orders, which we could not confirm on Yotpo’s own pages, so we do not use it.
The practical consequence is that a Yotpo quote has to start with your order volume, and the price moves as you grow. Judge.me’s does not. If you are forecasting growth and want the reviews line in the budget to stay fixed, that alone settles it.
Which plan gets you Klaviyo, Google Shopping and seller ratings?
Feature gating is where the comparison stops being about price. On Judge.me, the Free plan carries unlimited product and store reviews, unlimited photo and video reviews, Google Rich Snippets, the review, rating and carousel displays, and 24/7 chat and email support (Judge.me pricing page, 4 October 2026). Awesome adds the AI features for snippets, summaries and responses, social media and Google Shopping syndication, referrals and coupons, full customisation, and “All integrations”. Klaviyo sits in that last line: the pricing table lists Mailchimp, Dotdigital, Klaviyo and Omnisend under Awesome only. So a Klaviyo-first brand on Judge.me pays $15 a month (same page, same date), full stop.
On Yotpo, the comparison table on the Reviews pricing page puts photo and video reviews and Google Shopping syndication on Starter, and the Klaviyo integration, custom questions and the AI summary on Pro (Yotpo Reviews pricing page, 4 October 2026). That means the Klaviyo connection costs $119 a month at the lowest order band or $169 a month at 500 orders (Shopify App Store and Yotpo Reviews pricing page, 4 October 2026). Yotpo’s Free tier has no photo or video collection, which Judge.me gives away.
Yotpo wins one gate outright. Google Seller Ratings, the merchant stars shown on paid search ads, are a named Pro feature on Yotpo. Judge.me does not name Seller Ratings on its pricing or features page, so if that is on your paid media roadmap, confirm it with Judge.me before you assume it is there.
A reviews programme that feeds Klaviyo review-request flows and syndicates to Google Shopping is the standard build in a reviews and UGC programme, and Judge.me reaches it at the lowest price of any app in our guide to the best Shopify review apps.
How much support, scale and track record do you need?
Judge.me’s App Store listing shows a 5.0 rating from 47,952 reviews; Yotpo’s shows 4.8 from 4,628 (Shopify App Store, 4 October 2026). Yotpo has been on the App Store since November 2011, Judge.me since June 2015; both are mature products.
Where Yotpo pulls away is the layer above Pro. Premium adds roles and permissions, widget and email translations, syndication across domains, retail syndication, a dedicated onboarding manager and a dedicated customer success manager (Yotpo Reviews pricing page, 4 October 2026). Yotpo’s platform page also leads with “LLM Discoverability”, structured review content aimed at showing up where AI platforms look. If you run multiple storefronts, sell through retailers who display your reviews, or need a named person at the vendor, Judge.me’s 24/7 chat is not the same thing, however fast it answers.
Two cautions on the vendor comparison pages. Judge.me’s quotes a Yotpo Pro price of $469 a month (Judge.me comparison page, 4 October 2026) that does not appear on Yotpo’s pricing page on the same date. Yotpo’s page on Judge.me carries 2023 metadata. Read both as marketing.
One more fact changes the picture for anyone who remembers Yotpo as an all-in-one suite: Yotpo sunset its Email and SMS products at the end of 2025 and named Attentive and Omnisend as migration partners (Yotpo blog, 10 September 2025). Reviews and Loyalty are what remain, so the decision is no longer about consolidating email into Yotpo. Across our client accounts, [BMO NUMBER: insert the review-request conversion or reviews-per-100-orders figure you measured after a Judge.me or Yotpo install, with account count and window] is the benchmark we quote. If you are weighing Yotpo against a Shopify-only competitor instead, our Okendo vs Yotpo comparison covers that pairing.
