Caffeine

The energy that you claim you get comes from Caffeine. The range of quantity varies from 80 mg to 357 mg. There have been studies that have reported that the energy drink raises blood pressure drastically, and could even cause a fatal disease called arrythmia.

Blood Pressure and Heart Disease

Drinking ounces of sugar can be very detrimental to health. It increases blood pressure, and causes stress hormones to release. It might even lead to cardiac arrest – in extreme cases.

Liver Issues

There have been cases where patients have reported about buildup of niacin which leads to the formation of hepatitis. Vitamin B3 or Niacin is available in huge doses in energy drinks. Too much niacin can also lead to diabetes.
